It is part of your instinct to protect yourself especially if someone tries to hurt you. Safety is considered a top priority. A lot of people have considered different ways to protect the self. There are various methods that you can choose from like learning the art of taekwondo or the purchase of self defense tools. These methods will somehow give you assurance and confidence for your protection. More and more people try to purchase self defense devices because of its efficiency and convenience to the user. These devices differ in the way you will be able to protect yourself.

The TASER is a stunning device that a lot people use today especially by police authorities to protect the self from any attackers. It is widely used because of its feature that it can withstand distance. At a maximum range of 15 feet, you will be able to aim at your attacker. This gives you more advantage because the assailant will not have a chance to get close to you. Aside from that, you can aim at your target by following the dot. Moreover, if you cannot hit the attacker, you can just remove the electrodes and use it directly as a stun gun.

Before you fully unravel how it feels to be hit by a TASER, you must have a short overview of the physiology of the body. The nerve endings in our body send signals to the brain if there are impulses or when our senses work. And more than a split second, the brain transmits signals to the different parts of the body on how it will respond to the stimulus.

The TASER is a gun that releases electricity instead of the common ones which uses bullets. The high volts of electricity but low amperage produced by this stunning device will disturb the transmission of the signals from the nerve endings to the brain and vice versa. This will give temporarily confusion and sudden loss of balance. Muscle spasms can be experienced temporarily until the body revives its normal function.

The effects of TASER can vary from person to person. There are some who experienced being hit by a TASER and said that it is painful while others have high pain tolerance from being stunned. It may be true that it can be painful but only temporarily and it will not cause any harm. Others also admitted that they felt a jerky feeling and whole muscle weakness. Generally, the effects of TASER are temporary and it only hits your neuromuscular movement or the ability to move.

The feeling of being hit by a TASER is subjective. But one thing is for sure, once a TASER is used properly, the attacker will not have a chance to run away. You will have the chance to escape from their evil hands and you can have the opportunity to call for help. This device is surely a very effective tool for protection and self defense that we can have at all times especially when we are legally allowed to carry it.
